Local violinist David Le Page returns to St James with his colleague pianist Viv McLean, introducing his latest album, ‘The Book of Ebenezer’, inspired by G B Edwards’ famous novel. Set in Guernsey through the late 19th century up to the 1960s, the book tells of the life of Ebenezer Le Page, a typical ‘Guern’. David has created 10 exquisite miniatures, several of which use Guernsey
folksongs. The music is highly evocative, infused with a tender poignancy which speaks not only of the hero’s reflections, but also of David’s connection to Guernsey.
