Sound will be staging its first all ages music festival as part of the bicentenary celebrations of St James. Taking place at St James Concert and Assembly Hall on the 27th and 28th October, over 50 bands and musicians will take to three different stages, for 22 hours of live music.
The festival will run from 12 noon to 11.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with a fully stocked bar and fantastic food available throughout, at reasonable prices. There will also be Vinyl Vaughan’s pop up record shop and listening room, merch stall and other weird and wonderful things.
The festival is a fund raiser for the Sound Guernsey and The Vale Earth Fair. It has only been made possible by the continued generosity of St James, who are supporting this event as part of their Bicentenary celebrations in 2018 with a view to broadening the reach and appeal of the venue, and to demonstrate that it is here for the whole community of Guernsey.
In addition, all the musicians who are playing for free, and local sound, light and infrastructure suppliers. Their help has allowed us to make the ticket price only £10 per day.
Huge thanks go to our sponsors HMV, Randalls, Guernsey Arts Commission, Colour Monster, Chaos and Regency Events.

A weekend of eclectic musical acts, art, DJs and games awaits you, with the added attraction of coffee and toasties. The chance to experience the Peace Tent’s anarchic sense of fun in St James is not to be missed!

Downstairs in the main hall will be the main festival bar, with all your favourites at good prices.

FAMILIES & CHILDREN
The festival is open to all ages. Children under 2 are free and under 12 have to be accompanied by an adult. Due to the nature of the music played in the main hall, we suggest bringing along some ear protection for little people.
THE SOUND RAFFLE
Back in 2017 we got very lucky and had a drumskin donated and signed by no other than Royal Blood. Together with some other very generous donations from local businesses, we will be holding the first SOUND Raffle. Tickets will be available to buy from the box office.
There will be a merch and record stall run by Vinyl Vaughn, selling festival and band merch. Come and have a snoop and support the bands.
