Guido Spannocchi

Vienna born London based saxophonist Guido Spannocchi presents his new quartet consisting of Ruth Goller on bass (known for her work with Skylla, MeltYourselfDown, Shabaka Hutchins, Chris Sharkey, acoustic ladyland e.a.) Danny Keane on keyboard (sideman of Anoushka Shankar and Mulatu Astatke) as well as Pete Hill on drums (member of Alfa Mist, Ashley Henry, playing for Joe Harrop e.a.)

After sold out shows at Ronnie Scott’s London, The Vortex London, Bflat Berlin and Porgy & Bess Vienna the band are doing various tours throughout 2023 presenting a mix of originals from Spannocchi’s album “Perihelion” and several new compositions aiming to record and release a live album. Hints of metropolitan club repertoire mixed with exotica in a contemporary harmonic context with a strong focus on interplay this quartet has become one of the most exciting bands to on the scene.
