This June we’re bringing you a special, double-headliner show with Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris.
Event Details
Marcus Brigstocke is a major British comedy talent as writer, actor, presenter and performer. It’s said he is heard on Radio 4 more frequently than the shipping forecast.
On TV Marcus launched The Late Edition, on BBC4 and has hosted and appeared as a panellist on Have I Got News For You, and played King Stupid in Stupid on CBBC. He stretched himself further, joining various celebrities in learning French in Excuse My French and injuring himself in Channel 4’s ski-jump challenge, The Jump. He was the host of I’ve Never Seen Star Wars on both radio and TV, a regular on panel shows from QI to Just A Minute, and has even cropped up on Question Time, Newsnight, and This Week. On Radio 4 he is the angry youngish man on The Now Show, with Punt and Dennis, and his own show The Brig Society.
A fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe, Marcus’ live performances sell out across the country. On the big screen he has appeared in Love Actually, Piccadilly Jim, Telstar: The Joe Meek Story, and Beyond The Sea. He played King Arthur in the hit Monty Python musical Spamalot. He’s even appeared on a No.11 chart ‘hit’ with DJ Dee-Kline – a logical progression from his very brief early career as a podium dancer.
Rachel Parris is a BAFTA Nominated comedian, musician actor and improviser, best known for her viral segments on BBC2’s The Mash Report. She has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, QI, Would I Lie To You, Hypothetical and recently, Comedians Giving Lectures, and Harry Hill’s ClubNite on Channel 4, as well as a one-off archive show The Girls Guide to TV, for BBC2.
As a musical comedian, she has won critical acclaim for her solo shows which have run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Soho Theatre London and on national tours, and has been awarded The Chortle Award for Best Variety Act, Best Musical Comedy Show (Whats On London) and Best Jokes of the Fringe (Telegraph). “Beautifully crafted and performed… tears of laughter”. – The Guardian Rachel also guests with the Comedy Store Players and Whose Line is it Anyway and appears regularly on BBC Radio 4, including in The Now Show, The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and a forthcoming standup special. As an actor she has appeared in the IT Crowd Special on Channel 4, BBC2’s Murder In Successville, Plebs on ITV2, Russell Howard’s Good News, satirical sketch show Revolting and more recently, in There She Goes for BBC 4.

Since beginning his stand-up career in 1998, and winning the The Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award a year later, Danny has continued to build on his stand up success in the UK, with 10 return visits to the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2014, his show ’12 Nights 12 Charities’ raised £75,000 for local Edinburgh charities. This was followed up with critically acclaimed sell out World Tours.
But his success at home tells only a small part of the story. As probably the most travelled comedian working in the world today, Danny’s unique brand of story-telling and razor sharp wit has been described as “effortlessly funny” and “the stand up equivalent of Bill Bryson”.
In a relatively short period of time, Danny has established himself as one of the biggest selling comedians in Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as in his home country of Scotland. Danny has also performed three times on ‘Live At The Apollo’, which he was invited to host last year. He has also featured on the ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ and has recorded a highly prestigious one-hour Comedy Central Special entitled ‘Subject To Change’.
Hosting this show is Stephen Grant. A repeat award winner of Best UK Compere, Stephen is one of the hardest working comedy performers and writers in the UK. He is the host of the Krater Comedy Club at Komedia and is a regular headliner at The Comedy Store in Leicester Square. His speed and dynamism create a magical energy which has audiences rapt and hanging onto his every word.

Goldie, Britain’s original Drum’n’Bass superstar is coming to Guernsey this July. Back in the 90s, Goldie became one of the first personalities in British dance music, his gold teeth and b-boy attitude giving England a beat maestro and tough-guy head who could match the scores of larger-than-life hip-hop stars America had produced.
Goldie has been influential in the UK Jungle and Hip Hop scenes from an early age, producing his own music, and later working with renowned artists on his Metalheadz Label. Having succesfully ventured into other creative industries, Goldie is also known as an actor and catwalk model.
This July the superstar DJ will be bringing his box of tunes to St James filling the dancefloor with beats. Local DJs Four-Q and X-Cut will be kicking off the night in style.

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top touring stand-up comedians working in the UK and Ireland today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer, presenter and actor. You might have seen him on TV shows such as Live at the Apollo (BBC1 & 2), Have I Got News For You (BBC1), The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice (BBC2 & Channel 4) and The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC2), to name just a few of Hal’s many TV show credits.

For September’s Club Night we’re travelling back to the late 90s/ early 2000s with TOPLOADER, Not Another Indie Disco and local guys Neon Fire.
This year Toploader are celebrating the 21st Anniversary of their debut (and UK Top 5) album, which featured ‘that’ song; Dancing in the Moonlight, as well as the critically acclaimed Achilles Heel.
With a reputation as the ultimate crowd-pleasing live band Toploader have backed the likes of Paul Weller, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, Simple Minds and Bon Jovi, where they became the last British band to play the original Wembley Stadium. They have also appeared at a host of major festivals including Glastonbury, V-Festival, T In The Park and Chris Evans’s CarFest.
Come and see them in Guernsey this September, with the guys from Not Another Disco playing Indie Classics to sing along and fill the dancefloor, and local guys Neon Fire, opening up the evening.
We are putting together more bands and DJs for the other rooms to really make this a night to remember.
Food and Drinks will be available at Local & Wild all night.
