Cooked at St James

Great food - great atmosphere - great music!

Enjoy Chef’s yummy breakfasts and lunches, homemade cakes and relaxed atmosphere during the week from 9.30am – 2.30pm. (last orders at 2pm)

In the evenings we often open for music events in this intimate and unique venue. The café has a stage, full PA system and fully stocked bar.  During evening events Chef Colin serves delicious warm snacks from the evening menu, making this a one-stop venue for a great relaxed evening of entertainment. Who’s cooking?

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to work with James Ferguson at Cooked and his chef Colin Samson. After gaining relevant experience in restaurants and private dining clubs in London and New Zealand, Colin was fortunate to be appointed as Senior Chef de Partie at La Nautique for the summer season returning to La Fregate as Senior Sous Chef, where he had also been an apprentice after school.
Colin then moved with his head chef from La Fregate to Restaurant Nineteen Bar and Grill, and otook the position of Head Chef in this new and exciting restaurant.
Colin has enjoyed working in all levels of his profession and in addition to the culinary expertise has gained extensive experience in kitchen management. This has been further developed over the last ten years creating nutritious, balanced and cost effective menus for children.

Cooked at St James is open during the  week for breakfast, lunch and cake from 9.30am – 2.30pm (last orders at 2pm).
